To view the opinions of the research participants, we used a single online survey based on the Delphi survey in Study A. We used a survey rather than a Delphi study, because we did not try to reach consensus among researchers, but to gather their opinions to get consensus among researchers. This indicates that CARTaGENE participants have generally been able to correctly identify the nature of the diseases they suffer from, with a few exceptions. These results can help researchers select appropriate data sources based on the specific objectives of the study.
These results also suggest that QuebecHd appears to underestimate the prevalence of certain chronic diseases, which could lead to inaccurate estimates of morbidity, with implications for public health surveillance. The overall frequency of diseases found in self-reported diagnostic data was compared to the frequency of diseases detected by MED-CHO. The binary classes of congruent cases (positive category/positive AHD and category of negative positive cases /self-reported negative AHD) and discordant nasants (AHD positive with negative CARTAGENE, or vice versa, negative discorso crises) were created. Then, using the MED-CHO AHD as the gold standard of Cohen`s Kappa coefficient (interresist agreement, given the possibility that the agreement occurs at random), sensitivity (percentage of positive positives positive), specificity (proportion of negatives to be taken) and positive preaching value (APP – proportions of real positives on positive calls) were determined for each disease and each cancer.
